Why does my Mac keep barking at me?

Every so often my Mac barks once. It sounds like a German Shepherd. Has anyone else had this happen, or know what causes it?

1. My iMac doesn't have a dog sound...

I use 10.4 you might be using 10.5 (maybe they added it?)

I would start with going to:
Apple Menu-->System Preferences-->Sound-->Sound Effects :: and change the Alert volume.

2. Maybe it needs to go out for a walk?

3. you aren't feeding it enough. Also, change the water.

Macs like fresh water.

4. If you run Bookdog

to organize bookmarks, it will bark when bookmarks are sorted.
