RIP mac 24" hard drive

My hard drive crashed on my new imac. No warning, nothing and I never had one bit of problem with it. I took it to the mac genius bar in Chicago and they are replacing it. I only bought it in March. I told the genius I was surprised since I still work on a IIGS at school and have never had any problems with it. He laughed and nodded, but he was great about the whole thing.

Thank god I bought the extended warranty, I will worry about this one going out now and I bought the time machine with it so I won't lose anything. I hope it is easy to do the backup, I need to read up on it. Oh well stuff happens I guess.

and thank you to whatever higher power convinced me to buy the time capsule! The Apple store in Chicago was fantastic, great customer service and the time capsule, and I really don't know what made me buy it, is restoring my system as we speak. I am soooooo glad that it was easy to do.
