My kid decided he wanted an iPhone so he bought mine from me and I bought a 3G. So far, not much difference. The internet doesn't seem much faster at all. And the battery life is still not as long as I wish it would be. (That's actually my only complaint about the iPhone. If you do much online, the battery runs out pretty quickly.)
The speakers are a little bit better. Don't need to use headphones to hear when I play youtubes.
Really so far the biggest difference seems to be the camera. The 3G takes much better pictures. :)

Can't get through a full day on a single charge. Disappointing. I wanted to switch from a Berry to iPhone, but I think there are kinks still to be worked out.
