software update really helped battery life on my iphone. |
|
my number one issue with this damn phone was that i got less than 24 hours on a charge, even if it just sat in standby all day and did nothing. the last update has brought it up to about 3 days. whew. maybe now i can afford the electrons to update automatically. which would be nice, because it wont sync the calendar directly, as far as i can tell.

1. I am glad you got the battery life you wanted |

and the calendar will sync directly with ical, simply open itunes, plug in the iphone and select the "info" tab and scroll down and select the calendar.
OR
Did you mean that it will not sync "only" the calendar without syncing everything else as well?

says- your calendars are being synced with your iphone over the air from mobileme.
i can change the frequency, but that is it. i did figure out that part of my problem was that it was showing me a default calendar, which does not exist on my computer. so there was nothing on it, except things that i have added on the phone. it is set to sync manually, but it syncs all the time, anyway. sigh. at least i know where to be. and it doesn't bother me that much, as it isn't chewing through scarce battery power. the timing options are stupid, tho- 15 minutes, 30 min, 60 min. how about daily? 3 hrs, 4 hrs? sheesh.
