Maccbook Pro 17" for $1679 (last year's model using DDR2-667 RAM) - any good?
One is available at that clearance price.

I don't need another Macbook Pro, but the specs intrigued me...

1. mine's about a yr old, so probably similar specs
this is the perfect machine for me to run my entire office, play on the intertubes, and do other stuff.

2. The local BB has one - and it's in primo condition.
I still paid full price for my 15.4" model (this year's version with DDR3 and a 2.66GHz processor), but this one was complete and even had the original discs... it was tempting...
