I downloaded and installed 10.5.8 on my MacBook. I'll do the MacPro tomorrow. |

Whenever I did even the most minor Windows update, I was on pins and needles until a week later and I was confident no damage had been done.

Though, theoretically, anything can happen to any computer.
But Apple is usually good on setting controls, standards, and rules so it's harder to cause instability that jeopardize systems. Windows is dilettante garbage.
Mind you, I did install WindowBlinds, FontCard, and Silk -- no problems with those either. I hope Snow Leopard will be just as good for compatibility too...
I preordered Snow Leopard but will wait a little while to see if other people have upgrade problems. Since I use my Macs for school work, I don't want to take any chances...
