Screen sharing between Ubuntu and OS X |
|
In Ubuntu
System > Preferences > Remote Desktop
enable Sharing and Security appropriately
An icon for the Ubuntu machine should now appear in the left panel of your open finder windows
Click the icon and then click Share Screen
Now you can play Gnometris on your Ubuntu machine without leaving your Mac!

7. It may take a while. Microsoaft sez all versions of XP contain Terminal Services, |
|
but many posts on the internet confuse Terminal Services with Remote Desktop. Remote Desktop requires Terminal Services, but Microsoft didn't include Remote Desktop in XP Home

8. This is one reason MS is not liked, not trusted. They should put out one |
|
rock hard version at one price. Sure they can have a server model, but they should take the confusion and nasty surprises of the OS caste system. It could cut development costs.

9. It probably would cut development costs. I've seen a few websites claiming one can trick |
|
XP Home into thinking it's XP Pro: if that true, XP Home was designed by some quick and dirty crippling of the XP Pro code
