Basic black/white graphic question (Adobe) - cross posted with computer forum |
|
I have a black-and-white logo. All I want to do is remove the white background and make it transparent!
I have Adobe illustrator and photoshop, but this was originally designed in "Visio." (It's been saved as gif, jpg, and eps.)
How can I split this into two layers -- black and white -- if that's what I need to do to remove the white? Or is there another way?

1. were you able to save it as an SVG? Do that and then open it in Photoshop. |
|
See if that works. You might have to recreate the logo and save it as an SVG
I use Inkscape where I save as SVG then open it in Photoshop or GIMP.
I haven't used Photoshop since 10.5 broke PS7. So I am a bit rusty with PS.
GIMP isn't PS, but it works well with Inkscape.
