Drag and drop e-mail filing ...... who knew? |
|
I use Apple's Mail as my e-mail client. My e-mail needs are such that I need to file incoming and sent mail in various project-specific folders. Heretofore, I had been selecting an email, right clicking it, selecting "Save As", naming it, and then clicking "Okay".
I just discovered I can also drag and drop them to wherever I wish. How cool is *that*?

1. You can automatically do the same with rules |
|
I have my mail automatically move work emails to one folder, family emails to another etc. Under Mail>Preferences you will find Rules - you can make one to do just about anything... See here for more info http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mail/3.0/en/9909.html

If you have separate mailboxes set up under Rules, anything that comes in will immediately go to the correct box.
Mail from my most frequent clients automatically goes to "their" separate mailboxes so that I can quickly spot requests for translation or editing and deal with them first.
