If you have sync'd your phone recently, you probably updated the OS on your iPhone. I found I had better control of mail (finally) and more space (about a gig more). So far, it works fine. No complaints.

I put iOS4 on my (formerly) jailbroken 3G last night. So far so good, though I've heard reports that people were having problems.
No task switching (I refuse to call it multi-tasking because that's not really what it is unless you're listening to music while doing something else) or wallpaper (who cares). But the folders and the universal mailbox are things of beauty.
My iPhone 4 is scheduled to arrive tomorrow. :)

3. The multitasking will come as apps |
|
update to do it.
I have had it with my radio service for a long time (wunderadio) which will play in the background.
So we will see.

4. Just FYI: iPhone 4G users won't ever see multitasking. |
|
(Nor several other iOS 4 features.)

5. *OBVIOUSLY* that last title of mine was supposed to say "iPhone 3G". |
|
iPhone 4G users have multitasking from the get-go (but as Nadine mentioned, the apps have to be updated to support it).

I have to have the phone replaced. I tried every fix that customer support suggested. :(

7. i'd like to know where you saw more storage space? I've LOST .17GB |
|
and im right pissed about it too. Well... to the extent I kept hearing about how much storage space i'd get...
I have an ipod 2g, and it used to say my 8GB unit has 7GB of usable space.... now it says 6.87GB
I'm not happy about that. Also it's more sluggish than before I guess im going to have to look up how to revert, the problem, of course with apples being that nothing will work anymore if i go back to 3.1 because the apple store only supports the latest and greatest.
I still love my ipod touch, but I am being rapidly reminded why i H A T E apple with a burning passion of a red hot pointy sun.
I use my Ipod in place of my computer for the 80-90% of what i use my computer for (only slower n the ipod) that being email, and chat, and SL.
I can see the advantage of a ipad, actually, quite a lot.
But I still don't care for the apple "my way or fuck you" way they do things, which is what keeps me from crossing over completely.
That aside... it does look slick, and the folders feature is nice, tho not immediately evident how to use (and yes i know how to use it now)
