Is anyone aware of a way to run :shudder: Internet Explorer on a Mac without Windows? |
|
I need to use a cloud app for a client. It runs only under IE8 and needs ActiveX.
I know .... I know. But that's life.

4. Wine is definitely the way to go |
|
though at times it requires a lot of finesse...
Oh and ONCE you find a version that works... DO NOT upgrade. Speaking from experience. Why these days I am sticking to using my win programs on my nettie, and mac programs on the mac...

Sacrifice two young goats to Bill, male and female, on the first full moon, while chanting backward, starting at page 666 of a 1984 MS-DOS manual.
If you have been deemed worthy, a wraith from Redmond will appear who will walk you through the process.

5. Hmmmm would that be an Extron control page by chance? |
|
God know why, but our control pages only work on IE + active X (IS6+ actually)
otherwise I can't help.

I have been asked to use a cloud app that needs ActiveX. It will *only* run under IE on a PC. No other browser. No other platform.
