Wired network or wifi? Multiple computers or merely trouble with (say) a wireless printer? &c &c

I am on a Mini using an Airport Express. It started dropping connections soon after the update. I had to turn off and turn on the network in system preferences. Airport Utility wouldn't recognize it. The light on the AE was green, and when it did appear in the utility, it looked OK.
I did a soft reset and it got worse. I'm now wired and it is working well. I have heard others having trouble with 10.6.5 and the AE. After Maddow I'm doing a hard reset then trying it again.
So the ISP is working and the modem is working. So I guess it is the update or the AE.
