Here is a list of apps that I use on my iPad daily. This thing is great!
Whistle (free calls in an emergency) Exhibit A (a PDF reader and organizer) Bento DocsToGo (it syncs all the docs on my computer with the iPad) Evernote (a great way to do work in the office, and have it transfer automatically when you go mobile. ) Pages, Numbers DevonThink (although I keep screwing things up - my fault, no the app's) There are a variety of fine PDF readers, your choice of which one to use.
then for fun, Exoplanet The Nation BBC news The Audobon selections (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!) Sketchbook and Sketchbook pro Flashlight Weather Channel WunderRadio Wolfram Magic 8 Ball and, Bostich Stanley Level (this thing is cool)

1. We need to send some people into a client's sites to inventory their equipment. it is very labor ... |

..... intensive. In the past, we've put a crew into a site with clipboards, pencils, and cameras to record make model, serial number, electric and plumbing specs, general condition, estimated remaining life, and a picture. We then had to get data entry people to enter all the hand-written data and place the picture into the (Filemaker Pro) database.
Can we use an iPad2 and Bento to do this? Can Bento export to Filemaker?
