Pages for IPAD and footnotes |
|
first off... lazy on Apple's part since the work around tells me this should be enabled since it IS in the code.
So how do you do this?
Create a dummy word document with a dummy footnote. You only need one.
Import into pages for your IPAD.
Every time you need a footnote... copy the dummy citation which you probably made into a real citation anyway, just the number, and paste at your new location. It will renumber it, and you can edit it, adding the rest of your citation.
The fact that somebody else discovered this (the things one finds on the web) and I just tested this and it works like a charm... tells me it is in PAGES for IPAD and the question is, why haven't they enabled this? LAZY... it's been a request for ever... I get the not tracking changes, I really do... it is a pain from a database in the background perspetive... but if footnotes can be put in text this way... it means it is in the dang code.
Happy joy though... nice word processor and now I can do all my mobile work on the PAD. I carry as little as possible anymore.
