The virulence of the post-election months has subsided, and I've noticed very little Southern-bashing since then.

3. Glad to see this Forum. IMHO there has been way too much

snobbery, biased bashing of elderly or anything one is agitated about rather than thoughtful dialogue, and some bad attitudes towards Southerners. Example, in a post about the renewal of the 1965 Voting Rights Act, one poster essentially blurted: "...better off to get rid of those 9 southern states anyway..." Although 1 of those "southern" states is Alaska. Some people don't read well no matter what state they're from.
