that took it from rather a grim, overly Japanese, and not very healthful diet into something most people would want to eat. I had one of her earlier cookbooks and ended up adding a lot of her recipes to my usual selection of good eats.
She's a good teacher. Her videos are a great introduction to technique, whether or not you're interested in macrobiotic or vegetarian cooking.

:hi: I've made so many of her recipes over the years, I have 4 or 5 of her cookbooks. Some of those recipes I've made since her first cookbook came out in the late 70's.
