the garlic? Just realized that everything on tonight's dinner plate has a least a touch of garlic, it's in the marinade for the steak, it's part of seasoned potatoes, and the mixed veges are going to get a light coating of garlic butter. Overkill?

One of my favorite New Orleans restaurants (Upperline) has a yearly garlic festival. Everything from roasted garlic for your bread before the meal to garlic ice cream for dessert. Yum.

Especially if it is processed garlic, like granules or the paste that comes in jars. Fresh garlic where indicated, cool. Roasted whole heads of garlic, even. But I don't want it in everything. Particularly turkey gravy. Heh.

Roasting garlic gives it a very mild and somewhat sweet flavor. Simply saw the top off with a serrated knife, pour a bit of olive oil over the top, wrap in aluminum foil and roast in a 400 degree oven for about 30-45 minutes or until soft.

if everyone you associate with for the next few days had the same "garlic level" you'd be fine...
I used to walk with this lady and you could tell when her Italian Feasts happened - you had to stay upwind. Whew!
and it wasn't her breath, it was in her sweat - oh - pardon me - it was in her glow...

We had a neighbor several years ago and he just plain stunk of garlic! All the time.
He grew it in his HUGE garden and just inhaled it raw, I think. :bounce:
We seriously had to be outdoors when talking to him.
