Aarti's Party - On right now!

I was looking for an afternoon movie and saw that Aarti's new show was comin' up, so how could I not tune in? She's completely delightful. She's making Indian-spiced ground turkey Sloppy Bombay Joes (, a kale with mango salad, and some frozen pops made from an earl grey/cardamon base with pistachio nuts. Aarti is a charming hostess and cook, I hope her new show is a big success.

Speaking of Food Network shows, last year's winner of The Next Food Network Star, Melissa d'Arabian's show, "Ten Dollar Dinners" was renewed and her new season opener plays this afternoon, too.

She was awesome. A different take on food that I am looking forward to making. The sloppy joes are totally different, I want to try it. I'm tired of the same old sloppy joes. The kale salad looked fantastic.

5. I made a point of watching Aarti's show and was amazed at how natural she is.

It's like she's been doing the show forever. I loved the recipes. In fact, after the Iron Chefs raved about her food, I got the makings for one of the dishes and made it last night. I like her show - very down home and unpretentious. And $10 total for a meal for 4 people??? - wow, she does a great job!
