"All day" -- what does it mean

I keep hearing this when watching behind-the-scenes shows about restaurants.

What does this mean, in the context of a food order?

1. from googling it seems to mean total count

like if one ticket is 2 steaks and another is 3, you'd say "5 all day" for the total count needing to be plated.
