dark, milk, white, you name it, I got it. I've even got the snow (yes! it's snowing in Dixie) and candles, but NO MARSHMALLOWS. Guess I'll just have a rum ball.
Edit to add: I just checked your profile to see where you're from and was surprised to see you're not far from me. In fact, I just drove back from Knoxville to N. GA this morning! Wish I'd stopped at the Dollar Store on the way home for a bag of Jet Puffs.

I often have dark chocolate in the house, but none today. And I DID have some graham crackers, but Bill nailed them a few days ago for a late snack. We are supposed to be getting a ton of snow over the next two days, hope you stay warm and safe! I was contemplating making some snow cream :P but opted for the marshmallows instead.
I think rum balls sound very warming! :)

| 7. Yeah! And in case the rum balls give out, I've got all the ingredients |

for another batch.
You & Bill stay inside unless you have to get out. I feel fortunate to live here in the winter when so many other folks are having temps in the 0 degrees minus. We rarely get below 10. Of course if my electricity goes out, so will my well. But I've got a propane heater that will keep me warm until the power comes back on.
Cheer!

| 8. He's working both nights :( Or he will be, if he can make it down the hill tomorrow |
|
We are supposed to go well below zero(windchill) tonight and tomorrow, and we often lose power with storms, but I think we are ready. I have my wonderful down comforter, and also some great cold weather sleeping bags, so I think we will be ok if we DO lose power. Just no phone or internet. :(

| 9. somewhere in the last few days I saw a Christmas wreath made from toasted marshmallows |
|
Edited on Sun Dec-12-10 06:26 PM by grasswire
I think they were stuck to a styrofoam wreath with frosting, and then "toasted" with a little kitchen torch. The sight of all that sugar made me a little nauseous, but it could be attention-getting as holiday decor. :-)
Oh, they used three sizes of marshmallows. Those big oversized ones, the regulars, and the minis.
