| Favorite food websites and blogs? |
|
I've changed to opera and am redoing my bookmarks. Have any suggestions for great food websites and blogs?
I like them all, food in history, home chefs, good recipe sites etc.
TIA

| 2. My number one go to site for recipe inspiration is finecooking.com |
|
I like it because I have had very few disappointing dishes. They also have great general articles about specific ingredients or preparation methods. I also like some of the ways you can build a dish based on your preferences or what you might have on hand.
My second site is epicurious.com because I really like their weekly menu planners. They give me great ideas and I can put together a shopping list that will cover meals for up to two weeks. However, I find the results variable. This is not such a bad thing, as I am learning how to improvise in order to improve.
Sites I really don't like are those that include 100's of reader submitted recipes.
I look forward to seeing what others like!

| 3. ditto on epicurious.com |

I go there for ideas - you plug in your ingredients and what kind of dish and, even when its a little obscure, there bound to be something good.
