I love assorted picking at a meal. Had most of these things on hand, save the anchovy. Nice meal. And it went well with a kick back movie evening. ~ pinto
Feta salad - mixed lettuces, feta cheese, sliced cucumber, olives, green onions, mushrooms, slivered almonds, garlic, olive oil and red wine vinegar. Herbs to taste.
Anchovy rounds - Rye bread rounds with anchovy, topped with marinated red peppers, just browned in a toaster oven.
Hummus.
Yogurt with fresh mint.
Grapes and figs on the side.
Sweet finish - Toasted pita bread with sesame butter, cinnamon and honey. Tea.

I like a meal where there are a lot of different tastes and textures, like a mezze platter at a Lebanese restaurant.
Healthy meal; good for you.

Its the kind of meal you savor and take your time over. That's our Summer Saturday afternoon tradition, a slow meal in the garden. (Now if the snow would just abate)
We bought one of those little steel fire pits last fall - I think we're going to extend our season a bit. I found a little stainless steel pan at the Charity shop and I can see melting a little cheese for a raclette....
