Maybe it will happen at the start of next month, when the N.C.A.A. Final Four games take place. Or maybe it will be later this year, during the World Series, or next year’s Super Bowl, or the weekend when your ship comes in and you get to buy that 65-inch TV. But at some point, if you’re like most Americans, you are likely to have some friends over to watch the Big Game — and your friends are going to show up hungry.
