| Does anyone make Farinata? |
|
I'm making the Rocco DiSpirito recipe for the first time today. http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/rocco-dispirito/farinata-recipe/index.htmlIt looks less traditional than the thinner version cooked in cast iron pan but I saw him do it on the tube the other day and got intrigued.

I've never used chickpea flour, but I do love cici! Thanks for the link. :hi:

| 3. I thought this was excellent |

I made this in an 8 by11 glass pan. It was about a half inch thick. I used a large onion and follows the recipe as written. It reminded me of a large soft potato pancake. I could see how cooking it in a cast iron pan could give it a crunchier crust which would be lovely. I will be making this again and again. It's super easy and very healthy even with the oil.

| 4. Why don't you post a review for it on the recipe page |
|
since it doesn't yet have any reviews, and you thought so highly of it.
It's something I'd never heard of before! Congrats of trying something new and especially, for it turning out so well!

| 5. I made this again last night with Indian flavors and Spinach |
|
Along with the onion I added spinach (squeezed very dry). I bloomed cumin seed, garam masala and some red pepper in hot peanut oil and added it instead of the EVOO
Excellent...
Next I'm going to try shallots in lieu of onion and a variety of mushrooms
It's a great addition to a lunch box!
