Have any of you checked out the Homesick Texan cooking site? Dozens and dozens of outstanding traditional recipes from Texas, pleasantly set forth. Publishing the formula for Ninfa's Green Sauce constitutes a true public service, in this displaced Texan's opinion. And the Buttermilk Peach Ice Cream sounds a lot like the flavors my grandfather was making 75 years ago, when he ran an ice cream shop in San Antonio. Enjoy.

I'm going to make some the first chance I get. Dear lord, what a great site.
The best ice cream I've ever eaten in my life was a quadruple strong vanilla in San Antonio. It was at a little shop by the river. I can't remember the name of the place.

For the green sauce recipe! It's full of forbidden things in my diet, but that probably won't stop me now that I have the recipe!:bounce:

The recipe for it in "Homesick Texan" pretty much nails it. Enjoy.
