A Boston Cream Pie is a hybrid cake-pie and that one works fine.

Chocolate cake with cherry filling? Sure, why not? Yellow cake with apple filling? No problem.

Not sure I can imagine the pumpkin and yellow cake, but it's not absurd.

It looks fun to me.
