So is her brother (special needs for him as well). Awesome, well-adjusted kids, she's an excellent student, and the family is great (it was even an open adoption). I've never seen a 'bad' situation with anyone I've known in this situation.

Perhaps I'm overly simple when it comes to adoption, but I just think kids are not all that picky about who loves them...just as long as someone does. :shrug:
