| How do I get my son to understand when he's off his meds |
|
that the reason everybody is acting like such assholes is because he's acting like an asshole and everybody else is reacting to it?
Yes, I eventually get him to take them and eventually he calms down, but it's a fight every time.

| 2. You might want to consider Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.. |
|
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is practiced by psychologists specializing in this form of therapy to help the patient get himself or herself in control of their thoughts nad reactions, in other words reframing their automatic thoughts and actions in response to an incident and consider alternative reasoning and responses to a situation. And the patient practices being aware of what triggers the automatic thoughts and responses and using the better alternatives. My son has had this form of therapy for a couple of years and it has helped a great deal with many of his problems.
