I have a 5 month old with huge adenoids. He is currently on Nasonex and a regimen of saline nose drops and suction. The ENT physician wants to check him again in 6 weeks to see if they have shrunk any, and if not, an adenoidectomy may be in order. My son is a very light and restless sleeper (and experiences bouts of sleep apnea where he stops breathing for 5-7 seconds), and always sounds congested when breathing.
Has anyone here experienced this - any pros & cons, tips, etc.? I've done quite a bit of research on the internets, but am looking for some personal experiences.
Thanks!

| 1. My brother had his adenoids out when he was three. |

A friend of mine has a son who had his out at 18 mos, but I haven't known anyone younger than that. Neither had any problems with the surgery. Good luck. I have young children and know how nervous I get about things like that.
