| Anyone ever taken young kids to the Field Museum? |
|
We're thinking about it for our 6 and 4 y.olds, so I'm wondering if any parents out there have done it and what there is for that age. The older one wants to see Sue (the T-Rex). Also, do any Chicagoans have suggestions for where to park a bit more cheaply in that area? Thanks!

I'm sure the parking issues are different now.. We took the South Shore into Chicago & took a cab :)
They loved it.. but make sure they have on comfortable shoes..and don't try to do it all in one day :)
Is the aquarium still there?? They LOVED it:)

The Field Museum had quite a bit of hands-on stuff for the small-fry. A huge change from when I had last been there 30+ years ago. :) The Aquarium, Planetarium and Museum of Science and Industry took us a full week to go thru. We walked from some huge old famous hotel whose name escapes me. Nothing like getting in a mile or so of walking before actually walking in the museums. :eyes: My feet hurt so bad I would put them in the bathtub with ice.:D I'd consider a stroller for the 4 yo. :hi:
