I found a great website for affordable "big people" equipment for kids

Visit www.forsmallhands.com. It's a Montessori-type website. They have awesome "toys" that are just like what Mommy uses -- a laundry basket, dustpan, aprons, window cleaning kits, etc. Yes, it's time my two-year-old started pulling his own weight around the house...LOL! Really, little ones love to help out with the chores, and these items on this site help them do that safely.
