Joey's working out his first tooth at 7 months and 1 week.

He's been pretty grumpy and eating very little lately. We checked his gumline and indeed we felt a tooth on the bottom side. We're not giving him Tylenol (due to risks of liver failure) to get through the pain. What can I do to help him through it all? He's also grabbing his bottle and feeding himself (Finally!) - he surprises me every day, and brings me joy.

1. Chew-toys; cold damp wash-cloth. Also gum-meds, over the counter.

Is he at risk of liver failure?

If he's a normally healthy baby, there's no reason in the world to deny him Tylenol.

And I had the same thought about tylenol, or whatever, acetominophen.

My son just cut his lower front teeth at 8 months and his front uppers are coming in, too. We only gave him Vitamin T when it seemed like nothing could distract him from the discomfort, so if anyone is worried about it, then they could try that.

4. There used to be teething products that could be refrigerated

Not sure if they are still around. My daughter would use them sporadically, but she was a really good baby while teething. Some of them we found by accident! (Sorry!)
