Avatar: The Last Airbender (on Nicktoons)

Has anyone else watched or is anyone else watching this series with your child/ren? Our family is hooked on it. The movie was so terrible, but the series is really well done. It's deep and full of humor and things to think about. It triggers a lot of great discussions with our son.

2. We watched it when it was on originally

The kids (9 & 12) LOVED it.

We couldn't figure out how they could screw up the movie. Worst. Movie. Ever.

When two kids discuss walking out of a movie, you know it's bad.

3. The movie was so terrible.

My son is on his 3rd time through the series. He watched it on his own. Then he got Dad to DVR it and watched it with him. Now we're going through the whole thing again so I can see every episode in order. We're toward the end of book 3 now and I'm so into it.

4. I occasionally watch it on my own...

My youngest son is only 4 months old, so not exactly into TV yet.

The oldest one turns three in a few weeks, and he's still hooked on Little Einsteins, Team UmiZoomi, Dora, Diego, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Wonder Pets, etc.

5. I miss Wonder Pets. Sigh.

Occasionally, someone will still say, "The phone! The phone is winging!," but at 9 and 12 years old, they're a little too cool for Wonder Pets.

6. I let son watch it

but I hardly pay attention. Next time it comes on I'll give it my full attention....

Of all the cartoons son likes, the only one I roll my eyes at is Pokemon, but I do understand why son likes it...
