what's the deal with formula?

Is it just me or is formula an evil stain causing menace? We've been supplementing with formula in order to get Connor used to drinking from the bottle and eating when someone else feeds him before I go back to work. Every time his dad feeds him formula gets everywhere and it always leaves a stain. Does anyone have any tips on how to clean formula stains off of clothing? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

2. The only thing that worked for me was

lots and lots of Shout and color-safe bleach. Treat it as soon as you can, too. Good luck!

3. Formula spit up smells bad, too.

I didn't use it when the babies were still spitting, though, so I don't know how to get it out.
