Virtualbox 3.0: Direct3D 8/9

VirtualBox 3.0 has been released.

In this version, OpenGL 2.0 support has been included as well as experimental support for applications that use DirectX 8 and 9.

The fate of VirtualBox is my greatest concern about what's been happening in Sun's corporate world.

So far, full-speed-ahead seems to be the motto.

They've done amazing things with it in the past year or so. When I first installed it, integration of the host and guest was a bit clunky. A year later, and integration is almost seamless, and now they're pulling in features that make the virtual environment very near its non-virtual counterpart.
