Ubuntu + Wine + Turbotax online worked fine for me for this year's taxes. I used |

the same last year. I'm running Ubuntu Lucid. I had to use Firefox win 3.6.3 with Wine 1.2
Worked quite well this year and last. I found the latest win release of Firefox kept freezing so I downgraded to 3.6.3. Anyway, just an FYI I wanted to share on what worked for me.

Do you really want those companies filing away all that personal information of yours? But then, I guess privacy is a lost cause anyway these days.

virtual machine. The nice thing about buying mainstream laptops is that they come with a Windows license I can migrate to a virtual machine for those rare occasions where I MUST use Windows. Better virtual than dual-boot, nowadays...
