Needing software suggestions for converting .flv files |
|
I'm using Windows 7.
Downloaded some YouTube videos to my hard drive using the Download Helper add-on for Firefox v3.6.17.
I've also downloaded VLC Media Player to view and tweak the video on my PC.
Now I need some software to convert the .flv files so I can burn them to DVDs.
I'm looking for suggestions for conversion software. Have you used any and like them enough to suggest them?
Thanks

2. I have a question about this software |
|
After you download a .flv viedo from YouTube what file format do you convert it to so it will play on a dvd player?
I see that it says it converts to the "DVD" format among others. Is that all I need to choose? Just tell it to convert the .flv to DVD and then burn that file to my dvd?
I've been converting the flv to mpeg2 and wmv and buring those files to a dvd but the dvd player hooked up to our tv just can't see it.
Thanks a bunch for your suggestion!

select the PS3 option and copy the image to the PS3 for playback.
For a DVD, I would suggest you look into your DVD player's user manual to understand which format it supports. Your other option would be to use Windows Live Movie Maker... that should be able to take an MPEG format and convert it to the standard DVD authoring format.
