Need some help regarding my toolbar...

Even my computer geek husband can't figure out how to fix it.

Several months ago, the toolbar started showing up like this:



Drives me crazy. Can't find anything that even resembles it on any of the help forums. Anybody know what the cause is, or how to fix it?

1. Try this

Close down Firefox with Exit command.
Restart it in Safe Mode by NOT using your shortcuts but going to Start/Programs and looking for the Firefox folder. You should find a shortcut to 'Mozilla Firefox (Safe Mode)'

If it looks fine in Safe Mode, then it is probably one of your extensions causing the problem. You can either deal with it by using the set of options that appears in safe mode, such as restoring user defaults, or....

Restart Firefox your usual way, go to Tools/Add-ons and disable your extensions one by one, exiting and restarting until you find the culprit. It may be a good move to start with disabling Personas which is found under Themes.

2. Hey it appears to be IE, not FF

A quick Google search found many results:

One of them suggestes reinstalling the display drivers.

3. Have you changed or used any 3rd party "themes" recently?
