Nicer interface. More bloat. Still has memory leaks. http://www.mozilla.com/

1. I've been using Opera more these days |
|
Lot of things I really like about it, couple of things I can't stand.
I'll pass on a fervent and immediate download of FF4; wait until I've read some reviews, bugs ironed out etc.

2. I've been using 4beta since January. It's OK. I guess I'll download 4 sometime soon. |

4 has been in development and available for beta testing for about 23 years now, and yet, virtually all my add ons don't work.
What have they been doing? Did they just miss that a major new version was coming out?
Oy.

4. ROTFL...Temporary workaround |
|
Most old extensions should work if you disable compatibility check
Go to about:config Create a new boolean value and name it 'extensions.checkCompatibility.4.0' Then set to 'false' and restart the browser

how do I "create a new boolean value"?
And I have the addon Session Manager, which is supposed to recover a session when I close all my windows wrong, and it supposedly still works, but I can't figure out how to recover my old windows and tabs, and I'm going to start crying. :D
Stupid new firefox. Pout.

11. I got it working and my most of my extentions work. But Farmville's Flash doesn't work any more |
|
btw: I've got Ubuntu 10.10 64bit and I had a time to get Flash64 installed sometime ago. Everything works with FF 3.6.13.
I think I'll wait a while for all the bugs to work out and I'm not in the mood to mess with this good install.
But I can still run it in a different folder later on when I'm not Farming in Farmville:)

6. Google "says" it works... |
|
I found that the Google Toolbar for FireFox version 7.1.20101113Wb1 (Windows) seems to be broken in FF4. This is the release they claim compatible with version 4.
The Search Box dropdown list does not allow you to click on your items in search history, or any item that displays in the auto-complete list.
The only way I can get click events to populate the textbox control from history is to click down on the dropdown arrow, then hover over the item in the dropdown list, then let go of the mouse button.
It's ridiculous that they didn't bother to test the main control in their toolbar! More over, why would Mozilla not build backward compatibility into their latest release?

5. Just put it on my Ubuntu system. |
|
Speeds things up a bit, and the interface is snazzier.
I still spend most of my time using Chromium.
