Question about wireless/landline internet.

I have Qwest DSL internet service. The DSL box my ethernet cord plugs into has a wireless light & antennae. I recently bought a laptop that has wireless access. Will my DSL box turn my landline into a wireless signal, so I can use my laptop across the room without a cable?

2. The antenna and wireless light means you have a box that adds wifi to your house.

Your laptop, assuming it is wifi, should connect.

I agree with the first poster. Read the manual. You will, if you're on Windows, have to do many and various things to get the connection to work.

You'll need to figure out your username and password for the router and do some configuration. You can login at either http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1. You'll need to establish security and name your access point in the router. Then connect via your laptop once it's been setup.
