I had almost that much of a challenge with canned food when I first brought home my most recent rescue. I usually spread out a couple cans of wet food around the perimeter of two large plates, and set them down on the floor so everyone can get a few bites from the edge as a treat (to supplement their kibble). I was feeding Sylvia separately in a closed room so she didn't have to compete with full grown kitties. But she didn't understand why I was taking her AWAY from the FOOD!!!! It was the same thing everyday!!! I put the food down for everyone, and I try to take Sylvia and her own food into the bedroom, and she scremaed and cried and squirmed, trying to get back to it, and finally settled down when she heard me pop the can for her. It was like the movie Groundhog Day.... same routine everyday for about a month!

| 3. My last rescue Alfie has serious food issues. |
|
If it wasn't for that and serious separation anxiety, he'd be the perfect cat. I love him just the way he is, though.
I guess I'd have the same issues if my family had abandoned me at six months old and I almost starved to death.

| 4. I love how the guy changes his mind about putting his fingers in between the kitten and the can! |
|
He wisely decides to use a fork to pry kitty off instead.
