Came across this pet food. It looks really good so thought I'd pass it along.

Never heard of them, perhaps because they are a small company.

I found their site while looking into the use of goat milk for cats and dogs. I have begun mixing goat milk, a good quality dry food and wet food, along with powdered turmeric for my 4 cats. They seem to love it. So was just checking out whether goat milk was commonly given to cats.

1. Goat's milk you say.

Think I will try that tomorrow added to the cat kids soup that I make for them every day. It will be cream of tuna tomorrow night for all cats. I doubt that they will like it but I will give er a try.

My cats love the tuna, kinda liked the chicken but wouldn't touch the salmon. So I've been buying the tuna one for a month or two now. All 5 kittehs are crazy about it.

3. I don't use quite enough goat's milk to classify as 'soup' consistency.

I use it to better distribute the turmeric, by adding those two together first and then pouring it over the dry food and finally adding the wet food. My outdoor cats took to it more readily than
the more persnickety indoor cats. But now they're all eating it. Took a little getting used to I guess. I drink goats milk, so happened to have it on hand. I suppose this could also be done using
chicken broth instead. I KNOW they like that. But in my studies on turmeric, I had come across
several uses of that herb mixed with milk in Asian cultures, so thought I'd put the two together.

I have a question for those feeding their animals tuna, salmon, etc. I don't eat those fish anymore
myself due to the mercury content and other pollutants. I think it is recommended widely that children particularly not eat much tuna (because of their undeveloped immune systems). So are pet owners concerned about that as well?

I rarely give my cats tuna or salmon (even though they love it). Instead I try to find less fatty fish that are not as likely to absorb those pollutants. I noticed that the pet food I posted in the OP uses catfish. Maybe they consider that a safer source, not sure.

Mainly my cats get various forms of foul with only the occasional fish. The dry food I use has Omega3/6 fatty acids in them. And most of them are excellent mousers so there's that as well.

as do most of the other choices on the site. Not sure about the catfish, but the rest seems to be human grade and species appropriate.

7. Yeah, I think that you're right about tuna and salmon-or any fish

if the FDA is recommending that children and pregnant women eat no more than two two ounce servings per week of tuna (which is the last report I saw on the issue), then I don't think that it's very safe stuff for any mammal. Some vets say that cats shouldn't eat fish at all. I allow my cats to have canned food that is chicken mixed with one type of fish or another because they won't eat it otherwise, but the dry, freeze dried and raw foods that I feed them are all poultry or venison based. I figure that cats in Greece and other countries with very active fisheries have been surviving on a fish diet for centuries, so a little won't do much harm. I get more worried about them not getting enough moisture and developing kidney problems because of that, so getting a little canned food into them daily seems like a good idea.

LOTS of dogs are allergic to chicken, and chicken fat is even worse.

I'm very hesitant to try new things for him-especially now that his blood sugar is stable.

9. I've been feeding my cats this food for about a year.

The Life's Abundance dry food. I think I'm getting it through a different distributor. My 15-year old kitty had elevated liver enzymes, the doc said we would keep an eye on things and I have been taking him in about every six months for blood work since then. His liver enzymes went up again, then after I started feeding him this food they became normal. I have to think it has something to do with the food. Both of my cats love the dry food.

So you haven't tried their wet cat food?

How do the prices online compare to what you're paying (assuming you also order online)?

BTW, how did you happen to hear about/find this company? I just stumbled on it while doing
some online research.
