Anybody else with cats love the fall?
Edited on Tue Oct-07-08 08:15 AM by travelingtypist
My beautiful boy -- his name is Peanut -- has spent his summer being an "I want outside right this instant, leave me alone, I hate you" kitty. He'd sleep on me at night, but as soon as I was awake, he wanted out, no questions asked. I tried leaving the door open for him -- no pet door and I rent -- but he ended up bring in "presents," including a couple of live mice he got bored with and didn't kill. Eww.

I live out in the country and he's 200 yards away from the closest road, so I didn't have a problem with him being an outside kitty.

So it's cooled down some here in the Pacific Northwest. And how here I sit finishing off my day's work, and the cat is curled up in my lap for the first time in MONTHS. Ah, yes. I love the fall.

1. what a nice story and a nice kitty.
One of my boys LIVES for going out in his back yard, regardless of weather, even rain. His daily goal is to trick me into chasing him outside multiple times. The other boy could not care less about going out (unless the weather is perfect, and then it's only for a few minutes) and would snuggle in your lap 24 hours a day if you stay still. Funny how different kitties are about those things!

2. Ours becomes a snuggle-bunny in the Fall
She sleeps a lot more, too.

Love the little white mustache on Peanut

3. The cooler it is, the closer to me my kitties sleep at night.
I get pinned down, and hate to move cause I do not want to disturb them...

4. Definitly moving toward winter here...
The cats who used to check in every 24 hours (or so), grab a bite to eat, pick up their messages and leave one for me telling me not to rent out their rooms are now spending time INSIDE.

:wow: Yea verily, even unto sitting upon my lap and sleep-snuggling for several hours.

Hard to believe they're the same cats.
