How long did it take? I'm looking to get a pal for my Maggie one day soon and that's the part that makes me nervous - getting used to the new buddy.

5. All in all, about 6 weeks

She came from a shelter and was skittish, He's been an only cat since he was 8 weeks old, so it was tough at first. Lots of fighting and hiding under the bed. She was messing him up pretty bad, but since we've clipped her claws, it's been very mellow. Couldn't be happier! :D

Mine are at 5 months together and counting, and they just now are willing to be within several feet of one another. And there is still the odd hiss and growl. Sigh. Some day, I'm hoping.

I'm cat sitting two of them for our son, and the third one is older and has been with us a long time. At least the two are not living under the bed upstairs like they started out.
