| Crazy question but...The litter that the pet shelter told me to buy |
|
for my new kitty is made from ground up raw corn. It does the job just fine and is flushable. My question. Is this raw corn one of the things you should not send down your pipes because it will expand and cause blockage? I was told years ago to never send things like oatmeal, rice and other absorbing material down the disposal because they expand and cause pipe blockage. Could this happen in the sewer pipes after flushing this corn?

| 2. I don't know, but I would ask an experienced plumber. |

They might have been called to clear blockages like this.
I learned from my plumber never to put eggshells down the disposer, because they stick to the sides of the disposer and eventually clog it up.
