The beak, body-shape (allowing for roundness) and proportions are wrong, and a robin is a more...
I don't know how to phrase it...UPRIGHT bird.

Just it doesn't look like any of the robins we get around here...:shrug:

4. Agreed - not a robin. Looks like a red-breasted nuthatch to me.
But could be that the Brits call it a robin.
