Or rather a stink. Lena is soon to be two years old and it's not all the time, just once in a while. Smells kinda like dirty feet mixed with cheetoh's. It can be strong enough at times to be gag inducing, especially since she likes to sleep on the pillow above my head, which I do reserve for her use by sleeping a little farther down in the bed.
She doesn't like any of the soft foods I've tried her on, unlike her sister, Lucy, who loves it and doesn't have this smell issue at all. She will only eat the hard food.
I'm figuring it's her anal glands expressing. Would this seem to be the reasonable explanation?
:hi:
Edited to add that this has been going on since she was little. Not a new development at all and it isn't all too frequent, just occasional. And she is otherwise a very healthy and happy cat.

| 1. That sounds about right. |

One of my kittehs has somewhat overactive anal glands. The worst is when she drips on me. It takes about an hour of scrubbing to get the stink to go away.

| 3. Yeah, that happened yesterday. |

She loves to climb up on my chest and lay on my shoulder. She sat on my hand in the process of settling in. Ugh!
I have never, ever had a cat with this issue.
Thanx! :hi:
