| Mega vibes/prayers/good wished needed -- |

I have been rehabing a starling that was pushed from it's nest along with all of his siblings (sadly all the rest were dead when I found them). He has been a champ, really turning into a fine bird - just starting to drink on his own and be interested in eating on his own.
This morning when I was bringing him to work (he has to be fed every hour or so) the latch on his cage was loose and the door flew open -- a large truck came by and he freaked at the noise and he bolted. Normally the little guy is literally glued to me every waking day -- he would sleep with me if he could.
I am in San Francisco, a noisy urban environment. I have been outside for two hours calling for him around the neighborhood but no luck. It is just so chaotic here I am afraid he is just hunkered down, completely freaked out.
I have already posted a Craig's List lost ad, am working up flyers for the neighborhood, and am going to go around at lunch and later this evening when it is much more quiet.
I am literally sick to my stomach with worry -- they little guy hasn't eaten on his own yet and I am fearful he will not survive out in the wild without the proper skills.
Any good vibes you can send will be greatly appreciated. I'll keep you all posted.

It was wet and miserable here yesterday and last night. Thinking of him out there just about killed me. Posters are going up, calls are being made to local wildlife people -- already got one call about a possible sighting.
Am just taking it one day at a time. :hi:
