I used to have a Shih Tzu like that. She was very afraid of everything until she met my old Chow/Pit mix. Once he was around she turned into a total bad ass. She knew he wasn't afraid of anything, and that he would have her back. She loved to play ball too. They are both up on the bridge now playing Wookie & Ewok together. O8)
