[I Have A Dream]

Hi, everyone-

I thought that I'd try something at least this month. If it's successful, I'll continue it each month. If not, I'll let the idea die.

Many of us have difficult days where we could really use something to raise our spirits. I'd like this thread to be used to allow people to post things that make them happy (funny or not), make them laugh, etc. They don't have to be spiritual in nature; anything that uplifts is spiritual, in my opinion. Another purpose of this thread is to allow people to go to it when they feel as though they need to be uplifted, need a laugh, etc.

Please feel free to add anything to this thread as often as you wish: quotations, images, video links, songs, etc. If the thread gets to be too large, we can always create additional threads for the month (part 2, part 3, etc.) as required.

Please don't feel obligated to participate in any way. Maybe I'll be the only person who adds to it or uses it. If so, that's OK. I just think that this group has such wonderfully creative people with such a wide range of interests that we could have some really interesting stuff show up here. That's my hope anyway! :D

If it uplifts even one person, it will have been worth it. :loveya:

2. Brilliant!

I've always wanted to share art sites that lift my spirit but can't express why in words for fear that it might not be seen as spiritual enough.

I know for a fact, for me, if I can pivot when feeling low, from negative to positive, I always get the answer I need. It's almost like many times answers don't flow from the darkness, they need a little light to be received faster.

I took a workshop with Kinuko Kraft among other illustrators, in 1983; a peak experience! SHe is VERY exacting...Virgo?

I'm on Flickr.com. On my homepage there is the option to Upload Photos and Videos on the upper right. I upload directly from my folder. Then I go back to my homepage - where all the uploaded photos are - I click the photo, it takes me to the page with only that photo and you can do other things to it - resizing, adjusting color, sharpness, et cetera.

I view sizes from the Action drop down menu on the upper left. Right-click, select Copy Image Location. Then paste that into a post.

6. Birds' Song

From the musician: Reading a newspaper, I saw a picture of birds on the electric wires. I cut out the photo and decided to make a song, using the exact location of the birds as notes (no Photoshop edit). I knew it wasn't the most original idea in the universe. I was just curious to hear what melody the birds were creating.
